Taking Care of Your Teeth Naturally

There are many things you can do to improve your oral health. If you want to get on a good oral hygiene routine, you'll be surprised at the number of things involved. Some of these things you're already doing or know about and some you probably think don't matter. Natural teeth care is one of those things. Sure, you can use oral products that contain chemicals, but your oral health will be better off if you opt for natural methods. In this article we will teach you some natural teeth care habits that you should adopt.

An adequate amount of minerals needs to be found in your diet. One of the key clues that you aren't getting enough minerals in your diet is when you're eating a natural and balanced diet but your teeth are still brittle and prone to problems anyway. The solution is to consume more leafy green veggies. Green vegetables are excellent sources of minerals and when you eat these veggies, your teeth become stronger. This is a lot better than using toothpaste or mouthwash containing harsh chemicals. Eat more nutritious foods. Your body needs certain vitamins and nutrients. When your body is healthy on the inside this will translate to the health of your outsides and your teeth. You need to be eating foods that are high in calcium. However, make sure you eat foods that are rich in other nutrients like protein, amino acids, and so on. Your teeth will be so much healthier if you familiarize yourself with and follow the national guidelines for nutrition and portion sizes.

Clove oil is a natural tooth pain remedy. Simply dip a small cotton ball in clove oil and apply to the painful tooth. The clove oil contains anti bacterial properties. Not only will clove oil kill the pain-causing bacteria in your mouth, it will heal your tooth as well. Many of the older dentists recommend this remedy to patients who don't wish to undergo painful dental procedures such as root canals and fillings. Another alternative is cayenne pepper and ginger. Make a paste out of this two ingredients and apply to the painful area.

You've got many ways by which to keep your teeth healthy. You're probably doing some of those things already without you knowing it. When it comes to natural teeth care, it really isn't all that difficult or complex. We shared some of the basics here.
